How to pick the perfect Skateboard Deck

Selecting the perfect Skate Deck by TheDeckHouse

A fresh deck is as good as gold, for all skateboarders. Opening up the box and seeing the brand new graphics is what makes getting that new deck worth it. There is a good chance that you went to the local skate shop and you only saw a few old dusty decks laying around, making it hard for you to even want to buy anything at that point, we all work hard for our money, but don't worry because TheDeckHouse.com has the best selection of Skateboard Decks.

TheDeckHouse is special, we love what we do, and our history is filled with watching Viva La BaM and setting up indoor skate parks inside a basement, whether it was my own or my grandpas. Well, let's take a step back, I learned a tough lesson by skating inside, as I destroyed my Nonnos basement, from kick flipping off every surface, forcing the wooden ground to come up, and I'll never forget waking up to being yelled at for destroying the basement floor. I guess it all worked out, as the next option indoor skate parks during the cold New England winters became the only way to skate and it costed every dollar of money I saved up.

Heading to the indoor skate park during a freezing cold winter, my cousin just got her new deck, and I'll never forget it to this day. A Zero Deck, Spitfire Wheels, MOB Grip tape, Bone Bearing, and Independent Trucks. It made cleaning kitchens all summer worth it, as she dropped into that first half pipe, with the cleanest deck at the park.

We realized that skateboarders work hard for their money and they deserve to have a full selection, not just a few options, and that's why TheDeckHouse.com has the best selection of skate decks. Whether it is a rare design collaboration like the Bam Margera Zero Deck or a hard to find 7.75 deck, you can find it here. Feel free to explore all of our Skateboard Decks.

How TheDeckHouse.com Was Born

In the skate industry today, it's hard to find a local shop that has the latest decks or even that hard to find deck you keep searching for, as you skated your best with that deck, and nothing comes close to it.

We have been there, all of us, and it's why TheDeckHouse.com is here to be the experts in all skateboards decks. That's the truth and our passion for skateboarding started over 20 years ago, when watching Viva La Bam with our friends and realized, there is nothing better than a fresh deck, new mob grip tape, and venture trucks.

I would beg my parents for a new deck and they would say, "We just got you a new deck, we can't afford to buy another one." This would lead to long conversations with my cousin, searching online for cool skateboard decks and just dreaming for the days that we both had jobs and we can spend all of our money on new decks.

This would lead to excitement and a passion for skateboarding that just couldn't be matched. We would have constant arguments on what skate brand is best, me always defending Zero Skateboards and my friends all having a different opinion. That's my personal opinion and names like, Flip, Almost, Plan B, Alien Workshop, and we realized that everyone has their own favorite decks and it's what makes skating the best.

Why Should you shop with TheDeckHouse.com

There was always an issue with finding decks though and that's where TheDeckHouse.com was born. Local shops had a few options but nothing that ever made you feel truly happy. It made shopping hard and that's why TheDeckHouse.com carries an entire selection of Skate Decks, for our wonderful customers.

We remember when Nyjah Houston was just coming on scene, riding with the rasta colored Element Skate Deck and we would pause YouTube videos just to run outside and try every trick he did, not even coming close, but it made skating feel like we were going somewhere.

Chris Cole, one of our favorites, which is why my first board was a Zero. He was known as the Fallen Angel due to how graceful he was on the deck, and he ripped through anything, whether it was the streets, park, and X-Games. It's why we carry Zero Skateboards today.
