For bowls, you would want a wide and larger skateboard deck, ranging from 8.75 and larger. Why is this needed? Well, with a larger skate deck you have more stability, more foot placement, and they are stable when shredding bowls, pools, and large obstacles.
Now, there is also those situations where very tall and large shoe skaters can benefit from having a 8.75 skateboard deck. For skaters that fall into that category, you can often times see them riding an 8.75 skate deck on the streets or park.
